XLKitLearn brings powerful analytics and AI capabilities directly into Excel. Its functionality fits into five key areas:

• Predictive analytics and machine learning: fit regressions and tree-based ensemble models in Excel, with support for L₁-penalized regressions, k-fold cross-validation, and permutation variable importance.
• GenAI: access the OpenRouter API directly in the grid, with support for structured outputs, tool calling, logprobs, temperature, seeds, reasoning, and embeddings. Includes auxiliary utilities such as PDF parsing, plotting, and dimensionality reduction.
• Simulation: run simulation models in Excel, with support for binomial, exponential, normal, Poisson, triangular, and uniform distributions. Scenario analysis systematically runs simulations across a grid of parameters.
• Optimization: formulate, visualize, and solve linear optimization problems using the powerful HiGHS.js library. Formulations are compatible with Excel's native Solver, which can be used to solve small nonlinear problems.
• Utility functions: augment Excel with useful functions for data analysis and other common tasks.
